Overview

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Cloudflare firewall rules and routing configurations, as well as assisting with routine infrastructure operations across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes environments.

This is a hands-on position offering excellent opportunities to deepen your technical expertise in cloud networking, container orchestration, and infrastructure reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Cloudflare Administration

• Maintain and update Cloudflare firewall rules, Web Application Firewall (WAF) configurations, and rate-limiting policies.
• Manage DNS configurations, routing rules, and traffic policies.
• Monitor traffic patterns and contribute to mitigating security threats such as DDoS attacks and bot traffic.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and edge-related issues.

GCP Infrastructure Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance of GCP resources, including compute, networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and storage.
• Monitor system health, uptime, and performance metrics.
• Assist with infrastructure updates, patching, and configuration improvements.
• Support cost monitoring and basic optimization efforts within GCP.

Kubernetes Operations

• Support Kubernetes cluster maintenance and upgrades.
• Monitor pod health, resource utilization, and overall cluster stability.
• Assist in deploying and updating applications within Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot container and service networking issues.

Operational Support

• Participate in incident response and on-call rotations as needed.
• Document infrastructure configurations and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support deployments and enhance production reliability.
• Contribute to automation initiatives using scripting or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, with a preference for GCP.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts such as pods, services, and deployments.
• Proficiency with the Linux command line.
• Basic scripting abilities in languages like Bash, Python, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Cloudflare or similar Content Delivery Network (CDN)/WAF platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, with a preference for Terraform.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Understanding of IAM and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with Git version control.
