DevOps Engineer

Eurofins is actively implementing advanced cloud and DevOps practices to standardize and accelerate deployment processes across its laboratories. A critical focus is on the Information Systems (EurIS) group, particularly the ComLIMS and ADMS programs. This role supports DevOps activities within the ComLIMS program, focusing on the application lifecycle, cloud migration, and modernization initiatives.

As a member of the DevOps team, you will be involved in application lifecycle management, configuration management, and build and release process management for ComLIMS applications. You will collaborate with the Cloud Engineering team and program/application architects, develop and enhance Infrastructure as Code, assist in designing Azure deployment plans, and foster collaboration between Development and Operations teams.

Key responsibilities include contributing to DevOps backlog activities, helping team members adopt new working methods, supporting the application lifecycle and operational tasks, maintaining technical documentation and DevOps guidelines, acting as part of the ComLIMS L3 Support Team, providing periodical and emergency support, offering operational support to scrum teams, and acquiring functional knowledge of the EurIS suite, particularly ComLIMS & ComLIMS. You will also be expected to present and share knowledge within and outside the team, and report to the Site and Team Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Fluent English is required.
• 2-4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Architect, or Developer, preferably in an Enterprise DevOps and/or cloud migration context.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Database administration (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Good to Have Skills:

• On-prem infrastructure and administration.
• Operational procedures (procurement, installation, monitoring, support).
• Configuration management (with CMDB).
• Software development/architecture (.NET).
