Full Job Description
Moonfrog Labs is seeking a highly energetic and focused DevOps Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining real-time multiplayer game features, ensuring their reliable, sustainable, secure, and cost-effective operation. You will also drive continuous improvements in our engineering standards, practices, and tools. We are looking for an individual passionate about solving system stability and efficiency challenges in a highly distributed, large-scale environment, with a strong inclination towards proactive and efficient automation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain production uptime and all SLAs for real-time, high-scale, round-the-clock systems.
- Develop and execute scenario-specific playbooks with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain the DevOps tools and culture across the organization.
- Plan and manage DevOps projects organization-wide.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system and team unblocking.
Requirements
- Over 4 years of experience with DevOps tools and technologies, with proven experience in managing and delivering DevOps projects.
- Proficiency in the Linux environment, including hands-on troubleshooting of OS, performance optimization, and network-related issues.
- Proficiency and a strong mindset for Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
- Working experience and a detailed understanding of common AWS services, including EC2, EBS, ELBs, S3, VPC, IAM, RedShift, EKS, RDS, Route53, and CloudFront.
- Any AWS Certification will be considered an added value.
- Working experience in a production-grade Kubernetes ecosystem, including EKS, Helm, Spinnaker, and Prometheus.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) will be considered a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, with a preference for Python or Bash.
- Coding experience will be considered a plus.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and orchestration tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard monitoring and alerting tools, including CloudWatch, TIG Stack, Prometheus, Alert Manager, PagerDuty, Nagios, and Monit.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard log analytics platforms like ELK and anomaly detection tools.
- Good understanding and experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, CouchBase, and ScyllaDB will be a plus.
- Good understanding and experience with commonly used distributed systems components like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, Config Management, Zookeeper, and Service Discovery Systems.
- Experience with software version control systems, especially GIT.
- Knowledge of web servers and load balancers.
