About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise will ensure robust, secure, and performant software development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions (compute, storage, networking) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Develop and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines leveraging modern tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate software configuration and deployment processes with IaC tools including Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to embed DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures for the development pipeline and infrastructure, focusing on identity and access management, network security, and encryption.
• Design, implement, and maintain our Content Delivery Network (CDN) infrastructure using Akamai CDN.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to defend against DDoS attacks, web application threats, and other cyber security risks.
• Stay abreast of the latest DevOps tools and technologies through research and evaluation, ensuring adoption of industry best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, procedures, and training materials for DevOps processes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a preference for experience with public cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in managing Linux-based servers, networks, and storage systems.
• A strong understanding of web and application performance optimization techniques, including caching, compression, and image optimization.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, HTTP, and other essential web protocols.
• Experience with CDN security measures, including DDoS protection and web application firewalls.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing technologies, including IaC, automation, and containerization.
• Hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools and technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
