Full Job Description
Intect is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer/Architect to join their agile team in New Delhi, DL, India. The role involves developing and maintaining a new DevOps CI/CD pipeline that supports multiple products and services. You will leverage your software development experience to build and integrate automation solutions, onboard over 50 internal services, products, and components, and revolutionize the way cloud-based products and services are built, tested, operated, and monitored.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a deep understanding of system functionality and architecture with a strong emphasis on operational aspects such as availability, performance, change management, emergency response, and capacity planning. You will collaborate with team members, participate in code reviews, and work with other teams to develop integrations.
The role follows the Scrum software development lifecycle and requires providing product support to internal and external stakeholders. You will work in a team environment where your team owns and operates the services you build.
Ideal candidates will enjoy solving complex challenges for scalable, low-latency systems, creating solutions for cloud-native and containerized environments, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and have a passion for DevOps and automation.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in building and operating a DevOps CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience writing automation using object-oriented languages like Python, Go, or Java, along with Terraform and Unix Shell (bash, ksh).
- Experience creating Docker containers or Kubernetes deployments.
- 5 to 8 years of DevOps and/or build & release experience, including delivery to production.
- Understanding of version control systems (Git, SVN etc.), including branching and merging strategies.
- Experience managing monitoring and reporting systems, and building observability dashboards on application and server performance and scalability issues (e.g., SignalFX, New Relic, or similar).
- Centralized logging experience with Sumologic or similar products.
- Experience with continuous delivery and integration tools like Jenkins, Github, Artifactory.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Hands-on Unix/Linux knowledge.
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
- Ability to provide after-hours support as needed for emergency or urgent situations.

- Have knowledge of other open-source software like Drupal, MySQL, and Apache.
