DevOps Engineer

Deutsche Bank is seeking a DevOps Engineer, Analyst for its Pune, India location. This role is part of the Shared Application & Services (SAS) team, which standardizes the use and development of shared platforms and applications to deliver reusable, scalable, and cost-efficient E2E business solutions. The SAS OCR Associate Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments on GCP.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, and ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
• Networking & Connectivity: Configure and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, firewalls, VPNs, and interconnects for secure cloud networking.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Set up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions using Cloud Logging & Monitoring or third-party tools.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze and optimize cloud spending through committed use discounts, autoscaling, and right-sizing of resources.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup: Design and implement robust backup, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies leveraging Cloud Storage, Snapshots, and multi-region deployments.
• Database Management: Deploy and manage GCP databases, including Cloud SQL.
• Containerization & Kubernetes: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong proficiency with GCP services such as Cloud Storage, IAM, Networking, Kubernetes, and Serverless technologies.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and GitHub Actions workflows.
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking, and compliance principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for cloud-based infrastructure.
• Experience working within agile methodologies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including business analysts, product managers, and team members.
• Commitment to staying updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices, with flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Desirable: GCP Document AI, software development experience in Java (Spring Boot), Python (FastAPI), or React.
• Preferred: Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, Professional DevOps Engineer).
