This position is responsible for the management and maintenance of a substantial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provision software to multiple cloud environments using infrastructure as code frameworks.
• Execute software installations, configuration changes, and upgrades through automated tooling and configuration management.
• Configure supporting application services, including GSLB (Global Server Load Balouncer), load balancers (haproxy), monitoring, and security tools.
• Perform comprehensive application, system, and network troubleshooting to resolve infrastructure faults and customer usage issues.
• Generate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, focusing on actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and vendors regarding defects and necessary enhancements.
• Proactively identify and automate repetitive operational tasks.
• Maintain and regularly update application documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, procedures for common tasks, and incident mitigation strategies.

Technical Skills Required

Key Skills: Golang Developer, Microservices Architecture, Any cloud

• Demonstrated expertise in configuring and managing Linux systems.
• Proven experience with scripting languages for task automation, with a preference for Python, shell, and Go.
• Working knowledge of configuration and infrastructure management tools, with Terraform and Ansible being preferred.
• Experience in large compute environments utilizing a mix of virtual and physical resources from multiple providers. AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Openstack experience are advantageous.
• Understanding of modern version control systems, with Git being the primary tool used.
• Proficiency with modern system observability tools. Experience in identifying key metrics for enhanced application monitoring. Hands-on knowledge of Prometheus, Nagios/OP5, and Splunk is beneficial.

• Must exhibit reliability and accountability for assigned tasks. Experience with tracking tools like Jira is preferred.
• Familiarity with common working methodologies such as SRE, DevOps, Agile, and Scrum.
• Well-versed in standard incident, problem, and change management practices.
• Strong reverse engineering capabilities for diagnosing unfamiliar systems and applications.
• Ability to think analytically, rather than procedurally, to identify and resolve complex issues in large-scale, anomaly-prone environments.
• Capacity to improvise effectively when standard operating procedures do not yield expected results.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 2+ years of related experience.
