Join Okta, a leader in Identity solutions, as a Developer Support Engineer in Bengaluru, India. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our customers who utilize the Customer Identity SaaS solution.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support and maintenance for customers implementing the Customer Identity SaaS solution, resolving technical and non-technical issues promptly.
- Manage the operational lifecycle of support tickets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, aiming for the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Take complete ownership of customer issues, from initial troubleshooting and root cause identification to successful resolution.
- Consistently surpass customer expectations in response quality, timeliness, and overall experience.
- Act as a primary internal and external point of contact for customer issues, ensuring swift resolution.
- Operate within a collaborative, startup-like environment, demonstrating a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
- Leverage business and technical analysis skills, combined with knowledge of the development lifecycle, to address complex challenges and advocate for best practices.
- Partner with various company departments to achieve optimal customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to and maintain a knowledge base specific to product areas, fostering a culture of team knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Support team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years in technical support and/or software development, OR a minimum of 3 years of substantial experience in a business or technical analyst role for medium to large-scale business software implementation projects.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude, with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts with minimal guidance.
- Capacity to efficiently switch context between multiple intricate work streams.
- An innate ability to break down complex problems into fundamental components for effective root cause analysis.
- A customer-centric mindset, acting as a strong advocate for the customer and consistently going the extra mile.
- A collaborative spirit, complemented by solid communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities and implementing preemptive measures against potential problems.
- A commitment to continuous growth, actively seeking areas for improvement, developing plans for enhancement, and executing those plans.
Technical Domain Focus
- Familiarity with software development fundamentals and common architectural patterns.
- Knowledge of HTTP, encryption, and fundamental security concepts.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization principles.
- Proficiency with one or more authentication protocols/specifications such as Oauth2, OIDC, SAML, WS-FED, LDAP, Azure AD, etc.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a preference for JavaScript.
