Developer Associate

About the Role

We are seeking a Developer Associate to design, implement, document, and maintain various modules within SAP Database Cloud services. You will be instrumental in identifying areas for improvement in current designs, advocating for alternative methods to enhance our working set, and contributing to innovation and patent generation for SAP. This role involves building cloud optimization services from conception through to operation, delivering technical excellence by designing and developing solutions or products. You will contribute to the development of new products and features based on customer requirements and a wide range of use cases. You will collaborate with engineering teams across different geographic locations to diagnose and resolve design issues and customer-reported problems, providing hands-on contributions to create high-quality cloud services and sharing expertise with team members. You will help design and develop cloud-based features and enhancements for products and solutions, following the software development cycle from inception to successful product release.

What You Bring

We are looking for candidates with a B.Tech or M.Tech degree from top-tier educational institutes and 0-3 years of experience. You should possess high-level experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and GIT, along with experience in designing, architecting, and developing scalable services utilizing micro-service architecture. Proficiency in at least one software programming language (Python, Java, Golang) is required. Experience working with high-availability, distributed systems and services in a hosting environment, including hardware, OS, storage, network, and database solutions, is also necessary. A strong understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications are essential. Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements is a plus. Advanced LINUX and UNIX skills, including multi-threaded architecture and synchronization mechanisms, are highly desirable. System-level design expertise, such as OS drivers, file systems, access methods, query processing, query optimization, memory management, multi-threading and concurrency control, and networking, will be a strong advantage.
