Desktop Support Technician

About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to deliver Tier-2 technical support for complex IT infrastructure and A/V systems. In this role, you will focus on the design and maintenance of audio/visual solutions, troubleshoot escalated issues, and assist customers with installation, training, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft custom solutions for complex A/V diagnostics and system planning/design.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot A/V equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Operate sound/mix boards, speakers, and microphones effectively.
• Collaborate with management, end-users, and presenters to define support requirements through testing and setup reviews.
• Tackle situations where first-line support fails to resolve malfunctioning equipment or software issues.
• Report design flaws, reliability concerns, maintenance problems, or bugs directly to leadership.
• Lead customer installations and provide specialized training as needed.
• Support users with highly technical or sophisticated product challenges.
• Liaise with vendor support personnel and customers when internal resources cannot resolve specific issues.

Requirements

You must possess 3+ years of experience in IT and Audio Visual support, along with proven proficiency in multimedia A/V skills (including system installation, configuration, and operation). Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Windows is essential, as are advanced troubleshooting capabilities for PC and laptop hardware. A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification highly desired.
