Job Overview
We are seeking a proficient Desktop Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team, primarily based in our Bangalore operations. The role requires a dedicated individual with 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in providing comprehensive technical support to end-users, with a strong emphasis on diagnosing and resolving hardware and software challenges efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and effective technical assistance to end-users for a wide range of hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve problems related to desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and essential application software.
- Support the setup and management of user accounts and access control permissions.
- Meticulously document all support requests and their corresponding resolutions within the designated ticketing system.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow IT team members to enhance overall service delivery and user satisfaction.
- Contribute actively to IT projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in desktop support or a closely related IT support role.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting both Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Solid understanding and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and other common productivity applications.
- Foundational knowledge of networking principles and basic network troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with hardware diagnostics and repair for PCs, laptops, and printers.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a collaborative team member.
