Design Engineer (Land Development)

Indovance is seeking a skilled Design Engineer with expertise in land development to join our Pune team. This permanent role requires a B.E. Civil degree and 2-6 years of design experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong domain knowledge in site development, residential and commercial projects, and drainage design. Proficiency in software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Hydro CAD, and Civil 3D SSA is essential.

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing site plans, grading plans, pavement designs, and drainage area maps. You will conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater, design underground utilities (water/sewer), and create erosion control and stormwater management plans, including detention pond design. Experience with residential and commercial site development projects is crucial. You will ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards, manage projects to successful completion, and mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities also include preparing concept and detailed design plans, managing documentation, providing technical support, and conducting client meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site plan and grading plan preparation
• Pavement design
• Drainage area map preparation (pre and post-condition)
• Site hydrologic analysis and stormwater hydraulic analysis
• Underground utility plan preparation (Water/Sewer)
• Erosion control plans and stormwater management plans (including detention pond design)
• Working on residential and commercial site development projects
• Ensuring designs meet client requirements, codes, and standards
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles
• Project management for on-time delivery and client satisfaction
• Mentoring junior team members and interns
• Preparing engineering concept and detailed design plans
• Managing project documentation
• Providing technical support to graduate engineers
• Conducting client meetings

Qualifications:
