Design Engineer (Electrical & Busduct/BBT) - Deputy Manager/Manager

Schneider Electric, through its Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation unit, is seeking a dynamic Design Engineer for its operations in Mumbai, India. This role is pivotal in developing and delivering advanced electrical and busduct solutions.

About the Role

As a Deputy Manager/Manager in Design (Electrical & Busduct/BBT), you will be instrumental in the engineering and drawing preparation for busduct and BBT systems. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed drawings such as General Arrangements, Standard GAs, Bills of Materials, Supporting Arrangements, and Isometric Views, all derived from client specifications and technical documents. You will also manage the release of these drawings and documents to manufacturing facilities and engage in crucial technical review meetings with clients for approvals. Furthermore, you will provide essential support for resolving on-site technical issues, ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive engineering drawings for Busduct/BBT systems, including GA, Standard GA, BOM, Support Arrangements, and Isometric Views.
• Ensure accurate release of drawings and documents to the factory based on the Bill of Materials.
• Participate in client meetings for technical discussions and drawing review/approvals.
• Provide on-site issue resolution support as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Sandwich Busbar Trunking Systems and their applications, with the ability to address client technical queries effectively.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Creo is essential.
• Basic understanding of MS Office Suite and SAP.
• Strong personal attributes including discipline, punctuality, goal orientation, and commitment adherence.
• Assertive, non-impulsive, and a strong team player.
• Willingness to travel to customer offices and sites for discussions as required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
