The India Fitness Connect Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Design Engineer (MEP) to join their team in Gurugram, India. This role is crucial for developing and implementing sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, particularly for wellness and fitness environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop comprehensive MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical layouts, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Conduct on-site visits and inspections to ensure the accuracy and quality of designs.
• Assist in cost estimation and value engineering for all MEP systems.
• Specialize in designing HVAC systems, emphasizing air quality, humidity control, and thermal comfort, vital for wellness spaces.
• Plan and design electrical systems, incorporating ambient, therapeutic, and mood lighting, robust power distribution, and reliable backup systems.
• Develop plumbing and water systems, covering hot water, water treatment, and efficient drainage solutions.
• Ensure all designs adhere to project specifications, local building codes, and stringent safety standards.
• Integrate systems that actively enhance indoor air quality (IAQ) and promote occupant wellbeing.
• Support the implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable solutions, such as heat recovery, low-energy lighting, and water conservation strategies.
• Design specialized systems for spa pools, steam rooms, saunas, hydrotherapy setups, aroma diffusion, and advanced ventilation zoning.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, interior designers, and consultants to ensure MEP systems align seamlessly with the overall design intent.
• Participate actively in design review meetings and client presentations.
• Coordinate closely with contractors and vendors throughout the project execution phase.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Ensure strict compliance with all local building codes, environmental regulations, and relevant industry standards.
• Provide on-site support during the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Conduct thorough inspections to verify that systems are installed precisely as per design.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and optimizing system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in MEP design. (Fresh graduates with strong foundational knowledge are encouraged to apply).
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD and Revit MEP, alongside strong MS Office skills.
• A deep understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and plumbing design principles.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills are essential for effective teamwork.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in commercial, residential, or hospitality project environments.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
• Experience in preparing BOQs and coordinating with vendors.

Additional Requirements:

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as and when required for inspections and coordination.
