Design Engineer I - Pervasive Sensing Team

Emerson is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our Pervasive Sensing Team in Chennai, India. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions by independently generating and refining customer and quote drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Create Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 drawings with SolidWorks expertise.
• Implement revisions to Level Drawings based on customer specifications.
• Design and create hook-up blocks for actuators and instruments.
• Prepare Bills of Materials for Level Drawings.
• Develop and store missing hookups in a central database for future utilization.
• Assist in the creation of Outline drawings utilizing our in-house tool, ADCI.
• Manage and maintain documentation within SolidWorks PDM.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD modeling.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering is required.
• Basic understanding of Engineering Standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SolidWorks Macros is a significant advantage.
