Design Engineer

Role: CAD / Solidworks Designers

Purpose: Shreeji Flowtech Systems is seeking skilled CAD Designers for its engineering team in Ahmedabad. The role involves mechanical design, machine detailing, material planning, and drafting for specialized machinery including filling, capping, airjet cleaning, and ROPP capping machines. Successful candidates will translate customer requirements into precise technical designs within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Review customer orders and translate requirements into machine design specifications for Filling machines, Capping machines, Airjet cleaning machines, and ROPP capping machines.
• Develop machine designs considering critical parameters like Size, Speed, Timing, and Number of filling heads.
• Compare customer order specifications with past design records and identify necessary modifications.
• Perform gear calculations for Spur gears, Helical gears, and Bevel gears, including diameter calculation and understanding of gear terminology.

Drafting & Detailing

• Prepare 2D drafting, dimensioning, and detailed drawings.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) accurately.
• Conduct design detailing, surface development, and sheet metal design.
• Create laser nesting layouts and support assembly design.
• Prepare accurate segment-wise material requirement details, including Bill of Materials (BOM), Spares, and Change parts.

Material Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with the Planning function to provide material estimates for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Perform materials planning based on 2D and 3D designs.
• Ensure timely completion of design deliverables as per customer timelines.

Qualifications & Skills

Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years. Experience in Primary Packaging & Liquid Filling Machinery industry is an added advantage.

Required Skills:

• Strong command over AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of mechanical concepts and machine design.
• Knowledge of GD&T, gear calculations, and sheet metal design.
• Ability to handle multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
