Design Automation Engineer

Mantras2success Consultants is seeking a Design Automation Engineer in Ahmedabad. This role involves completing design automation projects under the guidance of a line manager, contributing to project goals within specified timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong working knowledge and experience in SolidWorks API using VBA, VB .Net, or C#. Key responsibilities include providing design automation support for customer group-associated products, understanding project requirements, collaborating with project owners for necessary data, and executing micro-project planning. Effective communication, including written summaries of telephonic discussions, is essential. The role also requires adherence to effective modeling and drawing practices, ensuring the correctness and alignment of deliverables with requirements, and maintaining customer focus for satisfaction through high-quality work. Candidates are expected to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time, reporting to their line manager upon completion. The position may also involve completing tasks beyond routine duties as defined by senior management. QA and QC of API applications are also part of the responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, communicates effectively to avoid ambiguity, and builds strong relationships within multi-disciplined teams. They should have the ability to develop engineering concepts from scratch, quickly learn new products, and adapt new ideas accurately. Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required, and candidates should view challenges as opportunities.

Educational qualifications include a BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field, with 5-6 years of experience. Essential experience includes VBA, VB .Net or C#, and CAD customization, along with proficiency in CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, Catia, UG, PROE, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD. A minimum of 3 years of combined VBA, VB .Net, CAD Customization, and practical CAD software support experience is required. Knowledge of C is considered an added advantage.
