About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and team-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering, execution, technical, and safety aspects of assigned projects to ensure the highest level of accuracy, quality, and timely deliverables. You will lead the preparation of schedules, coordinate, and monitor assigned projects and related activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC, and EHS policies. You will also be responsible for the performance management of subcontractors and vendors to ensure project completion as per plans. Experience with large infrastructure projects, particularly in ELV systems such as BMS Systems, CCTV, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, VESDA, and Intruder Alarm Systems, is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project execution activities.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and internal backend support teams, serving as the primary point of information.
- Prepare and implement project schedules at the site.
- Follow up on approved shop drawings, schematics, and technical submittals.
- Manage vendors (subcontractors) on-site for project execution.
- Adhere to EHS, ethical, and quality criteria during project execution.
- Manage material (MIR) and perform reconciliations.
- Prepare and authenticate daily/weekly project progress reports.
- Raise purchase requisitions for required materials in advance based on site needs.
- Certify executed work (WIR).
- Undertake pre-commissioning activities as per project requirements.
- Manage invoice claims, client approvals, payment realization, and follow up on receivables with clients and relevant internal parties.
- Identify dependencies that may cause project execution delays.
- Review and validate subcontractor R.A. bills.
How You Will Contribute
- Conduct detailed site surveys with subcontractor supervisors to understand customer needs.
- Gather all relevant information regarding site conditions, additional works, and any site delays.
- Prepare daily/weekly execution plans with subcontractors and customers aligned with the project plan.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with the internal design team for approved drawings.
- Monitor and instruct subcontractor manpower to achieve daily planned work.
- Conduct toolbox talks (TBT) and safety training with the EHS team for subcontractors and JCI on-site staff, reporting any safety issues to the EHS team.
- Maintain records for material movement and perform periodic material reconciliations.
- Update the Project Manager and customer on site work progress via email.
- Ensure site execution adheres to quality, EHS, and ethical company policies, raising alarms for any violations.
- Prepare measurement sheets for JCI and contractors, obtaining necessary approvals.
- Perform site activities for pre-commissioning, including loop testing, IP configuration, and pre-commissioning checklist verification.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunications, or Instrumentation Engineering.
