Deputy Director

Overview

Apply expert Software Engineering knowledge to achieve key goals by leveraging Cloud Technologies, AI-enabled IDEs, and agentic development tools. Mentor talent on accurate task completion using modern practices like prompt engineering and AI-assisted troubleshooting.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in software engineering, influencing stakeholders to drive goals while enabling the use of PepsiCo-approved AI tools for improved productivity and quality.
  Oversee design and implementation aligned with business objectives using intelligent automation.
  Direct regular architecture reviews leveraging AI-assisted code analysis to ensure organizational alignment.
  Manage application strategy from development to deployment utilizing advanced testing tools.
  Strategize adoption of new technologies including agentic workflows and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  Lead cross-functional teams in adopting AI engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product management on requirements prioritization.
• Prepare executive reports tracking the impact of AI on delivery efficiency.
• Leverage AI-Assisted Agentic IDE coding tools to generate and validate code iteratively.
  Understand agentic workflows for automating engineering processes.
  Ensure compliance with enterprise AI governance, security standards, and responsible usage policies including automated test generation proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required; Master's/PhD preferred. Minimum 11 years of leadership experience and 5+ years architecting distributed systems. Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, etc., with deep knowledge of data structures and design patterns. Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP, mission-critical 24x7 systems, Node.js, React-Redux, and full-stack development.
