Department Manager - Shoppers Stop, Ahmedabad
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Department Manager to lead one of our key departments at Shoppers Stop in Ahmedabad. Reporting to the Unit Head, you will be responsible for managing a team of Customer Care Associates and driving departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve budgeted sales targets through effective action planning and execution.
- Conduct comprehensive competition mapping to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Oversee efficient inventory management, including stock movement, cycle counts, and optimal stock rotation through effective displays.
- Enhance customer experience by ensuring excellent service, proactive issue resolution, and converting customer feedback into actionable improvements.
- Manage manpower availability to align with customer footfall patterns.
- Implement visual merchandising plans to optimize product presentation and drive sales.
- Develop and communicate display plans for merchandise based on sales principles and stock availability.
- Analyze performance data, identify trends, and generate reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Implement shrinkage control measures to minimize product loss.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate degree; MBA or PGDBM preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in a retail environment.
Compensation:
Up to INR 500,000 per annum.
