Full Job Description
The Aaron's Company, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated Delivery and Installation Specialist for our Jackson, Michigan location (918 N West Ave). In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction by expertly handling merchandise. Your responsibilities will include safely loading, securing, and protecting all items, followed by careful offloading and professional installation of products at customer residences. You will also be expected to provide product demonstrations and assist with various store operations when required, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the Jackson store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load, secure, and protect merchandise during transport.
- Safely offload, install, and demonstrate products to customers.
- Operate company delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Provide support for in-store operations as needed to maintain workflow.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- A working knowledge of electronics to assist with installations and demonstrations.
- A genuine desire to help customers and provide outstanding service.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (or 18 in Canada).
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for certification in the U.S.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and 300 lbs. with a dolly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain and summer sun.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required.
- No overnight travel is expected for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
