Delivery AI Software Engineer
Locations: India (Gurgaon / Gurugram) | Bengaluru

What You'll Do:
As part of BCG's X Delivery team, you will collaborate with consulting teams on advanced topics. You will leverage software development methodologies to deliver value across Consulting & X (case) teams, Product teams, and Practice Areas by providing developer subject matter expertise and execution support.
Key Responsibilities include collaborating to gather requirements, specify/design/develop/deliver/support solutions for client needs; working from short-term PoCs/MVPs to long-term enterprise-grade projects. You will provide technical support via deep understanding of software processes, create robust proprietary code translating business logic into requirements, and develop high-quality systems using best practices with an emphasis on security.
Core Competencies:
- Web Application Development: End-to-end high-scale experience in architecting, design, planning, development, and deployment. Maintain knowledge of open-source tech stacks. Solve complex problems proactively. Create code following best practices for reusability and maintainability.
- GenAI & Agentic Systems Engineering: Design enterprise-grade GenAI features within full-stack architectures (not just demos). Build modular AI services in Python wrapping LLM APIs via REST. Develop RAG pipelines involving chunking, embeddings, vector search, re-ranking, and context management.
- Agentic Workflows & Integration: Implement tool/function calling, multi-step orchestration, state/memory management, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and fallbacks. Integrate AI inference into React/Angular apps with UX patterns like streaming responses and graceful degradation.
- Evaluation & Responsible AI: Treat evaluation as engineering—define success criteria, build test sets, instrument logging/tracing/monitoring/cost controls. Apply guardrails including prompt injection defense, PII handling, output validation, and audit trails.
- Collaboration & Communication: Own engagements integrating with cross-functional teams. Establish credibility with stakeholders on web development topics. Synthesize complex insights into reports (PPT/charts) for consulting teams.
Technical Requirements:
Must Have: Experience building high-performance web apps using Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3; SQL-Postgres optimization; OOPs/design patterns/unit testing frameworks like Mockito/Junit/Jest. Knowledge of Material UI or similar design systems and component libraries for production-grade apps.
AI Specific: Hands-on experience building applications on top of LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI preferred, others acceptable). Experience with agent/orchestration frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph/AutoGen/CrewAI/Semantic Kernel/DSPy or equivalent). Implement tool/function calling with schema validation and error handling. Logging/tracing/evaluation using LangSmith/Langfuse/etc.
Good to Have: Unix/Git, CI/CD/DevOps tools, Cloud architecture (Azure/GCP) with Kubernetes; Microservices/Docker; Model Context Protocol (MCP); File storage/MongoDB; Charting libraries (HighCharts/D3.js).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Excellent communication skills.
