Senior O365 Developer - Enterprise Content Management (ECM)

EY GDS Consulting Digital is seeking an experienced Senior O365 Developer with expertise in web content management, particularly within the Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem. As part of our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team, you will deliver solutions for clients across various regions.

The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality solution and infrastructure deliverables, adhering to project timelines and specifications, utilizing strong coding and programming skills.
• Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to moderately complex project aspects.
• Maintain and enhance systems by resolving complex errors and escalating risks and issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with users to gather detailed requirements, translating designs and solution architecture into comprehensive design specifications.
• Monitor and report on potential risks and opportunities associated with emerging technologies, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant processes, procedures, standards, and technical designs.
• Develop and promote best practices for usage, operations, and development.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills with a keen drive for learning and adoption.

Skills and Attributes

• A minimum of 8+ years of development experience in O365 / SharePoint implementation.
• Strong analytical and technical proficiency with SharePoint SPFx, C#, ASP.Net MVC, JavaScript, and various tools for client-side solutions within Office 365.
• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Architecture Design (Extranet & Intranet).
• Significant experience in developing SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) solutions.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, AngularJS, Fluent UI, Knockout JS, HTML5, CSS, Ajax, JSON, and jQuery.
• Experience in Microsoft Teams Application Development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services including Data Factory, App Services, Functions, Blob Storage, Event Hub, SQL Database, and Logic Apps.
• Experience with Data Migration tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix Content Matrix, and PowerShell & PnP.
• Technical competency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions.
• Technical knowledge and experience in delivering software/platform engineering solutions, providing technical advice, and managing user requirements.
• Proficiency in development tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Team Foundation Services, and Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
• Experience in database design, development, and performance tuning using SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• A passion for web development, open-source technologies, and building impactful experiences.
• Consulting experience is strongly preferred.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor's or master's degree.
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience, preferably with a background in a professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2013/2016/2019/O365.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Apps & Power Automate.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React JS, AngularJS & Fluent UI.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell & PnP.
• Excellent communication skills with consulting experience preferred.

Ideally, you’ll also have
