About the Role:

Volansys Technologies is seeking a proficient Database / SQL Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team in Ahmedabad. This role is pivotal in managing, maintaining, and optimizing our critical database systems. You will collaborate closely with our development and data teams to guarantee that our data infrastructure remains efficient, secure, and capable of scaling to meet future demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support business requirements.
• Implement strategies for database performance optimization and ensure the highest standards of data integrity.
• Actively monitor database systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and security to preempt potential issues.
• Create and manage essential database structures, including tables, views, and indexes, ensuring optimal design.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and bugs efficiently.
• Provide essential support for data migration, backup, and recovery operations.
• Engage with developers and analysts to thoroughly understand and fulfill data requirements.
• Document all database processes and promote best practices within the team.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with various SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Demonstrated strong SQL proficiency, including experience in writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization techniques, and effective indexing strategies.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization to enhance database speed and efficiency.
• Familiarity with database security best practices and reliable backup and recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell is considered a significant advantage.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and strong teamwork skills are essential for this role.
