Data visualization Manager

Join EY in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, as a Data Visualization Manager specializing in Digital solutions. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of over 20 professionals, demonstrating strategic leadership and fostering team collaboration. Your responsibilities will include hiring, firing, performance ratings, and promotions.

We are seeking advanced expertise in data analytics and visualization techniques, coupled with proficiency in data engineering, including transformation, integration, preparation, modeling, and master data management. You will have extensive experience implementing visualization projects using tools like MS Power BI, Tableau, and Spotfire. Proficiency in Microsoft BI technologies (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) and Azure-BI solutions (ADF, Synapse, Databricks) is essential. Strong programming skills in SQL, DAX, MDX, Python, Power Shell Scripting, Node JS, React JS, C++, and experience with databases such as MS-SQL Server, Access, and MySQL are required. The role also demands proficiency in developing and managing Excel macro-based dashboards.

Key responsibilities include performance tuning and optimization for large datasets, experience with partitioning strategies, indexing, and query optimization, and leveraging big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks. You will design and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes, and be familiar with advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms. Knowledge of cloud-based data services like Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and Amazon Redshift is crucial.

Soft skills such as effective communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are vital. As a Manager, you will design and deliver analytics foundations, construct dashboards, and apply critical thinking to resolve complex issues. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing solution architecture, gathering requirements, leading project design, and overseeing implementation. Owning engagement economics, updating leadership on key findings, and aligning with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) from various Digital delivery regions for project scoping, estimations, and strategic delivery success are key managerial duties.

This role involves identifying team outliers and aligning them with appropriate learning paths, owning the learning and development of the team, and advising them on emerging market trends. You will perform R&D, produce Proof of Concepts (POCs) demonstrating team capabilities in advanced visualization concepts, and organize calls to explain features and benefits. Periodic alignment on resource performance and assisting the team in generating automation savings through unique ideas and cutting-edge implementations are also expected.
