Full Job Description
CN Water is seeking a skilled Data Systems Integration Engineer specializing in Water Systems for their Navi Mumbai and Panvel locations. This role is crucial for enhancing our industrial data infrastructure and ensuring seamless data flow from the field to our cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of new IoT gateway solutions and field-to-cloud data transfer methodologies for industrial environments.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, Field Engineers, and E&I teams to understand plant architectures and produce comprehensive Site Technical Briefs.
- Perform pre-configuration and preparation of gateways, including setting up drivers, protocols, network configurations, security access, and data mappings prior to dispatch.
- Coordinate installation support activities with field engineers, vendors, and logistics teams, ensuring successful end-to-end dataflow testing from the field to the cloud.
- Ensure continuous data flow post go-live by diagnosing and coordinating the resolution of disconnects, timeouts, and data gaps.
- Manage tag additions and updates within the data platform.
- Support complete site integration, including the necessary cabling and interfacing for the water system layout as per project specifications.
- Liaise with customer IT teams to obtain necessary approvals.
- Regularly maintain and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for installations.
- Potentially travel to sites to oversee and execute complex installations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving networking and connectivity issues.
- Solid understanding of industrial networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, switches, routing principles, VPN concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with common industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and S7 TCP.
- Proven experience utilizing IoT configuration platforms.
- Experience with PLC/SCADA integration.
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with various industrial automation equipment and IIOT devices.
- Excellent documentation skills for maintaining trackers, SOPs, checklists, site briefs, and other project documentation.
- Strong coordination and communication skills when working with site engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in pharma and industrial plant environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for secure data transfer from field to cloud.
