Data Senior Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Senior Engineer (Req ID: 392602) for our Pune, India team. You will provide L1 production support ensuring the reliability of data pipelines and scheduled workloads.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Monitoring production pipelines, Apache Airflow DAGs, alerts, and operational dashboards to ensure seamless execution.
  
• Performing first-level investigations on pipeline failures using logs and monitoring tools.
  
• Executing documented procedures for job restarts, reruns, and reprocessing of data loads into BigQuery with basic validation.
  Using SQL queries for data reconciliation checks (record counts).
  
• Analyzing Python/data-pipeline errors via logs to identify root causes.
  
• Creating incidents/tickets with detailed error reports and escalating unresolved issues appropriately.

Required Skills

• 2–3 years in Data Engineering, DataOps, or application support.
  Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, SQL, Apache Airflow, Python scripting basics.
  
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and production-support runbooks/SOPs.
