Data Scientist/Sr. Data Scientist

Join Definitive Healthcare as a Data Scientist or Senior Data Scientist in our Bengaluru office. This role is ideal for individuals with strong Python coding skills and extensive experience in data handling and wrangling. You will engage in advanced analytics projects, generate reports and metrics from complex datasets, and work within solution workbenches, applying a broad spectrum of quantitative and analytical techniques to enhance client business decisions.

Key responsibilities include supporting sales and marketing initiatives, such as analyzing multi-channel marketing effectiveness, campaign performance, marketing mix modeling, attribution, conversion rate optimization, segmentation, response modeling, and designing experiments (test/control analysis). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business contexts, the ability to apply statistical and AI/ML tools, and a talent for extracting actionable insights from data. A willingness to learn new data-handling tools and methods, particularly within the healthcare domain, is essential. Familiarity with quantitative and analytical techniques for client decision-making is required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead custom projects focused on prescription and claims-based reporting and modeling.
• Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to deliver insightful analyses to clients.
• Develop deliverables to support customer engagements.
• Partner with team members to implement optimized solutions.
• Contribute to internal projects and process improvements.
• Work with global teams to produce client deliverables.
• Mentor junior analysts and champion best practices.
• Independently define the scope of client requests.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in data science, with a specialization in Python and Market Mix Models.
• Educational background in Engineering, Operations Research, Econometrics, or Statistics.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Python.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
• Ability to manage large datasets, think creatively, assess current processes, and propose improvements.
• Familiarity with Pharma datasets is advantageous.
