Data Scientist/Automation

ERM is seeking a talented Consultant Level 2 Data Scientist / Automation Specialist to join our team in Delhi, India. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing data-driven solutions for our environmental and sustainability projects. We are looking for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in Python, data engineering principles, and cloud technologies, who is passionate about growing within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Python scripts and automated workflows to streamline data processes.
• Utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) and image processing techniques to derive valuable insights from unstructured data formats such as PDFs, DOCX, and images.
• Construct and manage robust ETL pipelines leveraging tools like Apache Airflow and PySpark.
• Support the deployment and operationalization of data solutions on leading cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Assist in the implementation of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) workflows and the development of machine learning models.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to define data sources, ensure data integrity, and maintain high data quality standards.
• Employ Git for effective version control and collaborative software development.
• Contribute to the development of scalable data engineering workflows and advanced cloud-based analytics.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required.
• Demonstrated experience of 1 to 3 years in data science, automation, or data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python programming is essential.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
• Exposure to core concepts in NLP, OCR, and machine learning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
