About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our Alumni Relations and Development organization at Northwestern University. In this pivotal position, you will develop and operationalize predictive models, robust data pipelines, and advanced analytics solutions specifically tailored for fundraising, engagement, and operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy predictive models to support donor propensity, capacity, engagement, and retention strategies across various campaigns.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify high-impact opportunities where data science can drive measurable results.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and feature engineering processes essential for model development and operationalization.
• Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, compelling insights and actionable recommendations tailored for non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with reporting and central IT teams to seamlessly integrate model outputs into our CRM systems, dashboards, and decision-making workflows.
• Maintain rigorous data quality, integrity, and governance standards across all analytical projects.
• Continuously monitor model performance and refine approaches based on new data and evolving business needs.
