Hitachi Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to contribute to its Data Science organization. This is a high-visibility, high-impact, full-time role for professionals with a proven track record of operational excellence in data projects and a leadership presence in technology. The position involves operational accountability for client-side rollouts, solution design, and the delivery of data science requirements, including machine learning modeling, statistical analysis, and the development of end-to-end pipelines.

You will work with diverse modeling frameworks and techniques to support the development of supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, computer vision, text analysis, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and autonomous systems.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies such as Azure Databricks and MLflow, and other Azure stack tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences, present to executives, and facilitate effective team discussions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse teams, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• In-depth knowledge of various modeling algorithms including regression, classification, tree-based models, deep learning, clustering, reinforcement learning, dimensionality reduction, and time series models.
• Strong capabilities in feature engineering and feature selection.
• Proficient in model evaluation and selection.
• Strong skills and experience in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and data visualization.
• Ability to understand complex and ambiguous business needs and apply appropriate tools and approaches.
• Proficiency in Python/PySpark and SQL.
• Understanding of distributed systems (compute and storage).
• Ability to build models for streaming, batch, and real-time serving.
