Data Scientist Role in Embedded Payments Fintech
Modulr is seeking a passionate Data Scientist with 2-3 years of experience to join our Pune, India team. This role offers the opportunity to work in the exciting field of embedded payments within a rapidly growing Fintech business. You will play a crucial role in building innovative Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions for high-impact financial use cases. About the Role:
The Data Scientist will be responsible for developing and deploying advanced AI solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing ML/DL models for critical applications such as fraud detection, risk scoring, and personalization.
- Building and deploying Generative AI applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Designing and implementing Agentic AI workflows for enhanced automation and intelligence.
- Utilizing tools like LangChain and LangGraph for efficient workflow orchestration.
- Employing AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Cursor/CoPilot.
- Implementing robust monitoring solutions using LangSmith for performance tracking and debugging.
- Building APIs to facilitate seamless model deployment.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Maintaining MLOps pipelines and ensuring continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
Key Requirements:
Candidates should possess:
- 2-3 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with ML frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and XGBoost.
- Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering techniques.
- Familiarity and experience with LangChain and LangGraph.
- Understanding of Agentic AI concepts.
- Exposure to AI development tools like Claude and Cursor/CoPilot.
- Experience with LangSmith for debugging and monitoring AI applications.
- Knowledge of API development, including FastAPI/Flask, and containerization with Docker.
- Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow and DVC.
- FinTech domain experience is highly preferred.
