Data Scientist

Join ABB's People Analytics team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, as a Data Scientist. In this hybrid role, you will report to the Senior Manager - People Analytics and contribute to a dynamic group that delivers high-quality analytics to support Talent, Performance, and Culture planning. Your responsibilities include leading global projects to enhance workforce decision-making across ABB. You will partner with cross-functional teams to manage the entire analytics project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and data extraction to analysis and insight presentation. Develop advanced statistical and machine learning models using Python or R, leveraging platforms like Snowflake and NoSQL, to build predictive models and scalable solutions. Translate complex people and business data into actionable insights by defining People KPIs and creating impactful visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Advanced Excel. You will also oversee strategic analytics projects focusing on workforce performance, cultural development, and employee experience, employing NLP and deep learning for unstructured data analysis. We are seeking individuals with strong quantitative skills, proficiency in R, Python, or MS Azure, and practical experience in Machine Learning, AI, and NLP. Understanding of SDLC and ETL processes, strong pattern recognition abilities, and experience in developing end-to-end decision science solutions are essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field is required, along with proficient English communication skills. Knowledge of SAP or Workday HCM systems is a plus.
