Key Accountabilities:

• Advanced Data Analysis and Modeling: Expertise in feature selection, dimensionality reduction, model evaluation, validation, and various data modeling techniques.
• Domain Knowledge: Critical understanding of the business domain to ask relevant questions and create significant solutions.
• Business Insight: Understanding of business operations, market dynamics, and financial implications to prioritize data science projects aligned with FDO goals.
• Out-of-Core Computing: Utilize libraries like Dask in Python for processing data that exceeds memory capacity by loading it in smaller chunks from disk.
• Machine Learning: Drive innovation and strategy in models and techniques, applying advanced machine learning skills for complex models.
• Partnership and Communication: Effectively communicate findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and presentations, understanding domain processes from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Continuous Learning: Maintain relevance through ongoing technical data science learning coupled with domain understanding.
• Data Ethics and Privacy: Implement anonymization, pseudonymization, and adhere to data retention policies.
• Database Management: Proficiency in working with SQL or NoSQL databases for data access and extraction.
• Project Management: Lead data science projects, including prioritization, planning, and timely delivery.
• Statistical Analysis and Mathematics: Solid grasp of statistical methods and mathematical concepts for data analysis, modeling, and insight generation.

Experience and Job Requirements:

• The Data & Analysis (DS&T) team plays a vital role in driving data-informed decision-making and generating actionable insights to support company goals by processing and interpreting large, complex datasets.
• Requires an experienced professional (10+ years) with a Master's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
• Skills: Leadership in Data Analysis, proficiency in Python, SQL, Azure Databricks, Statistics & Mathematics.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities to steer a team, providing strategic direction and technical expertise.
• Soft Skills: Active listening, translating business problems into data questions, strong communication, and partnership abilities.
• Experience working with various data sources including SAP, Concur, Salesforce, Workday, and Excel files.
• Ability to prepare analytical reports, presentations, and visualization dashboards to communicate findings, KPIs, and insights to both technical and non-technical partners.
• Commitment to staying updated with industry trends, standard methodologies, and new technologies in data analytics, machine learning, and data science.

Desirable Criteria:

• Certifications in SQL, Machine Learning, or Azure Databricks.
• Extensive experience (typically 10+ years).
• Proven ability as an effective team manager, overseeing teams of 6-8 individuals, including lead and senior data scientists and/or data engineers.
• Proficiency with tools and libraries such as Pandas, PySpark, NumPy, SciPy, NLP, and Fuzzy matching logic.
• Experience with SAP systems and data structures, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP BW.
