As a Data Scientist II at JioHotstar in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India, you will be instrumental in developing sophisticated solutions for ad delivery, targeting, and performance optimization across live sports and entertainment platforms. Your responsibilities will include creating inventory forecasting models, click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rate (CVR) predictors, and demographic inference systems using advanced modeling techniques. You will also play a key role in integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) for contextual ad targeting and developing intelligent advertiser tooling. This pivotal role is designed to scale data-driven monetization strategies and enhance the precision, reach, and impact of digital advertising on the JioHotstar platform.

Our team possesses deep expertise in Video-On-Demand, Live Sports, and Ad Monetization, aiming to construct the world's most effective and scalable adtech ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze extensive datasets from diverse sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform data-driven strategies for the Ads platform.
  • Design, develop, and deploy statistical models, machine learning algorithms, generative AI models, and predictive analytics to optimize ad targeting, enhance campaign performance, and maximize revenue.
  • Integrate machine learning models into production systems to enable real-time insights and automated decision-making.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Product Management, Ad Tech, and Business units, to address business challenges and implement end-to-end solutions.
  • Continuously assess and refine data quality and model performance to ensure the delivery of consistent, reliable, and accurate insights.
  • Develop and implement A/B testing frameworks and experimental designs to validate algorithmic improvements and quantify their business impact.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, proactively incorporating cutting-edge techniques into models and the Ads platform.
  • Present findings, methodologies, and the business impact of data science initiatives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Demonstrated experience in data science and machine learning, with a preference for experience in AdTech or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and essential data science libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Expertise in building and deploying machine learning models into production environments.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.
  • A deep understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Comfort and familiarity with leveraging LLMs and their underlying principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business problems into effective data science solutions.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, coupled with 2-4 years of experience in data science or machine learning.
