Core Responsibilities

• Support research for commercial real estate investment decisions.
• Develop and test statistical and machine-learning models.
• Analyze structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Maintain forecasting and ranking models across various markets.
• Evaluate model performance and implement updates as needed.
• Apply model results to scenarios, risk analysis, and portfolio insights.
• Contribute to experiments exploring new features and modeling approaches.
• Maintain shared codebases and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with global teams to communicate insights effectively.
• Clearly document methods and results.

What Will Help You Be Successful

Experience, Education & Certifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in data science or quantitative research.
• Strong skills in probability, statistics, time-series analysis, and machine learning.
• Experience maintaining forecasting models in a production environment.
• Advanced Python skills with proficiency in pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with linear and tree-based machine-learning models.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data engineering fundamentals.

Technical Skills

• Experience transitioning research models into production.
• Hands-on exposure to complete analytical pipelines.
• Knowledge of risk modeling or portfolio optimization is a plus.
• Experience with generative AI and natural language processing techniques is beneficial.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices is preferred.
• Experience with alternative or unstructured datasets is advantageous.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like Azure, data warehouses like Snowflake, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Data Factory.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage data science project work and stakeholder requirements effectively.
