As a Data Scientist in Azure Migrate, you will develop intelligent models and data-driven capabilities to guide customers through their cloud migration journey with precision and confidence. You will design predictive systems, uncover actionable insights from large-scale telemetry, and build adaptive experiences to improve migration outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Acquire necessary data, utilizing querying, visualization, and reporting techniques to describe it. Explore data for key attributes and collaborate on data science experiments using established methodologies.
• Understand modeling techniques, select appropriate tools and approaches, and evaluate output for statistical and business significance. Analyze model performance and incorporate customer feedback into evaluations.
• Stay informed about industry trends to contribute to thought leadership best practices. Write efficient code for specific features and develop expertise in debugging techniques.
• Understand customer business goals and identify growth opportunities. Examine projects with a customer-oriented focus and manage customer expectations regarding project progress.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field
• OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field AND 2+ years of data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques).
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field AND 2+ years of data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques).
• OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of customer-facing, project-delivery experience, professional services, and/or consulting experience.

Other Requirements

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• OR equivalent experience.
