Data Scientist Position at BMW TechWorks India, Chennai
We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our innovative team in Chennai. This permanent role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, or engineering, and a passion for solving complex industrial challenges using machine learning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions primarily using Python.
- Apply Machine Learning techniques to address real-world industrial problems.
- Develop, deploy, and operationalize Machine Learning models within production systems.
- Design and implement efficient machine learning and data pipelines utilizing Azure cloud services.
- Develop and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
- Implement MLOps processes to ensure continuous improvement of the model lifecycle.
- Support the development of monitoring and re-training procedures for production models.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and research in Machine Learning.
- Collaborate closely with an international team of Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Software Engineers.
Required Technical Skills:
- A strong foundation in Deep Learning, with a focus on Computer Vision or/and Generative models.
- Proven experience with Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow.
- Excellent proficiency in Python programming.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning solutions.
Desirable Technical Skills:
- A good understanding of modern MLOps best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies, including Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud provider solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience in building pipelines on Azure Machine Learning.
- Basic understanding of networking and security practices within cloud environments.
- Proficiency in designing and developing APIs, with experience in at least one major framework (FastAPI, GraphQL, Django, or Flask).
Qualifications:
- BSc/BEng in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Data Science or Machine Learning role.
