Data Scientist

Join Myntra's Data Science team, a dynamic group responsible for developing and deploying numerous data science solutions across various customer touchpoints each quarter. Our models deliver significant revenue and customer experience impact, handling real-time, near-real-time, and offline solutions with demanding latency requirements on massive datasets. You will gain exposure to all facets of a comprehensive e-commerce platform and learn to build models serving millions of requests per second with sub-second latency.

Our team prides itself on deploying cutting-edge machine learning models, including graph neural networks, diffusion models, transformers, representation learning, optimization methods, and Bayesian modeling, and actively contributes to research literature through peer-reviewed publications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop data science and machine learning models for Myntra's Storefront, Supply Chain, and other business areas.
• Manage the full machine learning lifecycle, including model deployment.
• Apply theoretical understanding and practical expertise in machine learning, with specialization in areas like NLP, Computer Vision, or Optimization.
• Collaborate with Product and Business teams to translate business problems into machine learning models.
• Partner with Platforms and Engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of predictive models.
• Work with Data Platforms teams to understand and collect necessary data.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and efficient processing of large datasets.
• Expertise in Python or an equivalent programming language.
• Candidates with B.Tech, M.Tech, MS by Research, or postgraduate degrees in Statistics, Operations Research, or Mathematics are preferred.
• Publication record is a plus.
• Strong skills in general Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including:
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) for understanding and generating human language.
• Computer Vision for interpreting images and videos, object identification, and classification.
• DevOps principles for deploying and managing ML models in production.
• LLM and GenAI Models: Understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (GenAI) models, including prompt engineering, evaluation, optimization, and deployment.
• Domain knowledge in a specific industry is beneficial for understanding data and business needs.
• Awareness of ethical considerations in data science, such as privacy, bias, and fairness.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
