Full Job Description
As a member of the Group Sector Central Function Technology at ContiTech, you will be globally responsible for driving the success of applied data science and its effective utilization across the organization. Your role will involve designing and implementing innovative data-driven solutions to address complex business challenges. You will leverage cutting-edge techniques to build customer-centric platforms, reduce complexity, ensure standards, maximize cost savings, and develop innovative material-driven solutions for a carbon-neutral and 100% circular product portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Consulting on the effective application of Data Science methodology, technology, and best practices, complementing AI/DS platform, sector, and project owners.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify data and AI opportunities, translating business needs into actionable data requirements and success metrics, and prioritizing use cases based on feasibility and impact.
- Developing best practices, guidelines, and standards for data science in collaboration with AI/DS stakeholders to ensure robust solution development.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of the business and industry to identify emerging trends and research opportunities for technological advancement.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving business performance and delivering impactful results.
- Developing and implementing models and algorithms using machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and statistical analysis.
- Leading the development and implementation of data pipelines and infrastructure to support data analysis and modeling.
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external collaborators.
- Optimizing data-driven decision-making processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and testing procedures.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of data science techniques, including descriptive and inferential statistics, big data and data mining technologies, and machine learning.
- Significant experience in Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning, with a strong grasp of algorithms, predictive models, deep learning, and NLP.
- Strong technical proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, R, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Over 5 years of dedicated experience in various data science-related roles within the industry.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, organizational skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Ability to inspire stakeholders and partners through effective communication and high intercultural sensitivity.
- A collaborative, team-player attitude, recognizing the value of networking and knowledge sharing.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends in classical data science, data mining, and advanced analytics.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
