About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru, India. This role focuses on leveraging data science and analytics to tackle complex business challenges, particularly in the areas of marketing and sales strategy optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in data science and machine learning to solve business problems related to sales and marketing strategy optimization, pricing, client experience, cross-sell, and retention.
• Utilize various analytical methods including hypothesis testing, segmentation, time series forecasting, and test vs. control comparisons.
• Develop and deploy supervised learning algorithms (Linear Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, Support Vector Machines) and unsupervised learning techniques (clustering, dimensionality reduction).
• Build and implement time series models for forecasting and anomaly detection.
• Analyze unstructured data using Natural Language Processing (NLP)/Text Mining techniques.
• Construct end-to-end machine learning pipelines from data preprocessing to model deployment.
• Apply deep learning techniques using TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
• Work with Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Understand and decompose complex business problems into analytical tasks.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable business insights.
• Retrieve and manipulate data from big data environments.
• Develop and maintain strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Present complex information in a structured and simple manner to management.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to organizational development initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• 5-8 years of experience in data science and analytics.
• Experience in marketing analytics and financial services.
• Proficiency in Python/R, PySpark, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hive.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong process and project management skills.
