Data Scientist & Associate Instructor - AI/ML in Pune

Uplers is seeking a Data Scientist and Associate Instructor specializing in AI/ML for one of its esteemed clients, Newton School. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity in Pune, India, for individuals with 1 to 5 years of experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging courses on Applied AI/ML, including Python for ML, Statistics, ML Algorithms, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, ML Ops, and Generative AI.
• Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring it reflects current industry standards and best practices.
• Mentor students on hands-on AI/ML projects, providing technical guidance and feedback.
• Advise students on career paths in AI/ML and prepare them for internships and job placements.
• Stay abreast of the latest AI/ML trends and technologies to enhance teaching.
• Collaborate with faculty to create an effective learning environment.
• Develop and assess practical AI/ML assignments and projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of professional experience as an AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role involving AI/ML development and deployment.
• Proven track record in building, training, and deploying machine learning models for real-world problems.
• Strong understanding of core ML algorithms, deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), model evaluation, statistics, and current research.
• Demonstrated passion and aptitude for teaching and mentoring, with experience in corporate training, mentoring juniors, leading workshops, or creating technical content being highly valued.

Required Skills:

• Expert-level Python programming.
• Proficiency with data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong SQL and data handling capabilities.
• Knowledge of ML Ops practices and tools (Git, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Understanding of NLP, Computer Vision, and Generative AI/LLMs.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Team-oriented approach and a passion for education.
