Full Job Description

This role focuses on building and utilizing data science expertise to support projects and develop innovative data science products and solutions, particularly within the Fixed Income Reference team.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage technical expertise to support projects and find creative solutions.
- Develop and implement data science products and solutions using advanced techniques.
- Collaborate with technologists and business stakeholders to create compelling proposals for innovation, from conception to production, defining appropriate success metrics.
- Build and apply domain expertise in financial market content, data science, and LSEG's data and products.
- Write highly optimized code for LSEG products and solutions.
- Design and develop new methodologies, quantitative models, and analyses to enhance existing or new processes.
- Maintain the performance of existing products and independent analysis standards.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to foster new ideas and expand product scope.
- Handle, process, and program data efficiently.
- Develop automated solutions for sourcing and loading Fixed Income Reference data into databases.
- Analyze Fixed Income Reference content to identify patterns and trends.
- Develop, improve, and run quantitative models.
- Generate AI & machine learning solutions for core processes.
- Work with business, content, and product groups on large-scale analytics challenges.
- Build Proofs of Concept (POCs), visualizations, and pipeline tools for product design and development.
- Collaborate with development groups for the deployment of analytics solutions.
- Interact with other internal teams as needed, with supervision.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent.
- Moderate experience in a data science related role.
- Understanding of algorithms, model building, and evaluation.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including neural networks and deep learning frameworks.
- Extensive experience using Python or R or equivalent.
- Skills in transforming and preparing data for model training.
- Proficiency in using tools and libraries such as scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, and jupyter.
- Solid relational database skills.
- Solid understanding of statistics and statistical languages like R.
- Ability to handle large quantities of data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to narrate data-driven stories to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Higher education in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science Engineering with Data Science certification.
