Talworx is seeking a skilled Data Protection Analyst to join their team. This role will involve developing and implementing robust data protection policies and procedures for clients, ensuring compliance with various privacy laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments to identify data privacy and protection risks, and subsequently developing effective mitigation strategies tailored to client requirements. The analyst will continuously monitor and evaluate data processing activities to uphold adherence to data protection laws and company standards.
This position offers the opportunity to provide expert guidance and support to clients on crucial privacy initiatives such as Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), risk assessments, and data governance. The role also entails designing and building security and privacy frameworks, re-engineering processes, and implementing privacy controls.
Furthermore, the analyst will be instrumental in recommending innovative privacy solutions, engaging in discussions with stakeholders, and defining privacy metrics with corresponding dashboards for effective monitoring and reporting. Collaboration with internal teams to foster awareness of data protection policies and practices is also a core function.
Staying abreast of global developments in data protection laws and regulations, and updating policies accordingly, is essential. The role includes developing proposals and engagement letters as per client needs for project deliverables, managing risk formalities according to internal project requirements, and maintaining accurate records of data processing activities and compliance efforts.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law, information technology, or a related field.
- CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or any other related certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of 3-10 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from Coimbatore and Mumbai.
