Data Platform Engineer

About the Role

As a Data Platform Engineer at Accenture in Bengaluru, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data platform solutions. This position requires collaboration with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure seamless integration between systems and data models. You will be responsible for the blueprint and design of the data platform, encompassing all relevant components. This role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities to liaise with clients, data scientists, architects, and modelers. Your primary focus will be translating business requirements into effective data solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data platform engineering.
• Collaborate with and manage teams to ensure high performance and successful project delivery.
• Take ownership of team decisions and strategic direction.
• Engage with diverse teams, including data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders, to understand data needs and deliver robust data solutions that inform key business decisions.
• Provide effective solutions to immediate team challenges and contribute to cross-team problem-solving.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to foster team growth and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all parties involved.

Professional & Technical Skills

• Must-Have Skills:
• Deep proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform or Microsoft Fabric, coupled with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques and industry best practices.
• Proven experience with designing and managing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration tools.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and programming languages, particularly Python.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and their associated services.
• Ability to design and implement effective data governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in managing and processing large volumes of data.

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 7.5 years of professional experience is required, with a focus on Databricks or MS Fabric.
• A total of 15 years of full-time education is a mandatory requirement.
