Data Flow Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Data Flow Engineer to join our team in Noida, India. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing data connections, performing crucial validations, and executing data transformations. Your work will directly contribute to our continuous improvement efforts, with a strong emphasis on leveraging advanced technology to enhance our auto-reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Import and validate file deliveries for new clients.
• Automate daily process monitoring and generate reports.
• Establish and maintain connections via external APIs and FTP.
• Ensure the timely and reliable consumption of external portfolio data.
• Normalize diverse external datasets into the standardized Clearwater format to streamline the in-take process.
• Analyze existing data feeds to identify, design, and implement solutions that improve auto-reconciliation capabilities.
• Implement enhancements requested by our Operations and Development teams.
• Apply your expertise, established procedures, and best practices to resolve issues, such as normalizing new data feeds and advancing automation.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the general workflow, tools, and the value proposition of Clearwater.
• Utilize critical thinking to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions for both internal and external stakeholders, adhering to best practices.
• Clearly communicate the technical intricacies of Clearwater systems and our best practices to non-technical internal and external audiences.
• Participate in a light on-call rotation.

Required Skills

• Experience in securities, accounting, and finance.
• Proficiency in SQL and a strong grasp of relational database principles.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, Perl, or Python.
• Familiarity with industry-standard data transmission protocols is preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and robust documentation skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with industry-standard data transmission protocols.
