Data Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing large datasets, developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, and driving the adoption of automated processes to enhance efficiency and data integrity.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute data cleaning, processing, and ETL operations from diverse sources into data storage systems.
• Uphold data quality standards through meticulous planning and implementation.
• Maintain and document data pipelines, processes, and underlying infrastructure.
• Monitor and resolve data-related issues promptly to ensure continuity.
• Extract data from online sources to fulfill analytical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet data needs.
• Support the automation of data-centric processes and systems.
• Provide training and guidance on the effective utilization of automated workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience with SQL and MongoDB, with a strong grasp of both relational and non-relational databases.
• Proficiency in Python and comfort with other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI / Power Automate.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Experience with web scraping techniques using tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or Scrapy.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a significant advantage.
• Previous experience or a keen interest in the automotive industry is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork, coordination, and learning capabilities.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of performing under pressure.
• Possesses strong logical thinking and a keen eye for detail.
