Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Zscaler Softech in Pune, you will be instrumental in architecting and maintaining robust data pipelines. Your responsibilities will include identifying and implementing process improvements, automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for enhanced scalability. You will design, develop, and deploy high-volume ETL pipelines for complex, near-real-time data collection. Additionally, you will develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to fulfill business needs, and design, implement, and maintain REST APIs for inter-system data exchange. Ensuring the performance, security, and availability of databases, along with managing routine database operations such as upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations, will be key. Collaboration with team members and stakeholders, as well as preparing documentation and specifications, are also integral parts of this role.

What you'll bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with SQL, T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or other relevant ETL technologies.
• Proficiency in preparing documentation and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including impact/risk analysis and root cause analysis.
• Proven experience working effectively in a team environment and building cross-functional partnerships.
• A results-oriented approach with meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to deliverables.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database.
