Data Engineer

Role Overview

We seek a Data Engineer to design enterprise data platforms supporting major infrastructure projects in the UK. You will combine cloud technologies, database architecture, and geospatial management within our growing digital team.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Ownership: Lead SQL Server schema design, optimization, indexing, and security governance.
• Data Engineering: Build ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory; develop reporting with Power BI and SSRS.
• Automation & Analytics: Script data transformations in Python for advanced analytics.
• Geospatial Focus: Manage spatial datasets within PostGIS or SQL Server, collaborating closely with GIS teams on landmark projects across land management and energy sectors.

Requirements

We require 3–5 years of experience in data engineering. You must demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL Server (schema design, performance tuning), Python scripting, SSRS/SSMS, Power BI, and spatial databases like PostGIS or QGIS/ArcGIS.
