About The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build and operate production data platforms. You will own infrastructure components using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, and Databricks/Spark, enabling teams to ship pipelines autonomously.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain tooling for autonomous pipeline development by data champions.
- Own monitoring, alerting, and DataOps practices ensuring platform reliability at scale.
- Operate Kafka as the message broker for event-driven architecture across teams.
- Deploy infrastructure services using Terraform and Kubernetes Helm charts.
- Run high-throughput processing on Databricks/Spark and AWS cloud-native services.
- Support dbt transformations and Airflow orchestration.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive rapid fixes.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and output quality.
Who You Are
You are a builder with 5+ years of experience in data or platform engineering. You thrive on clean code, reliability, and enabling others to move fast. You care deeply about infrastructure quality.
Technical Skills Required:
- Languages: Python or Java
- Cloud & Infra: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Data Stack: Kafka, Databricks/Spark, dbt, Airflow
- Databases: Relational (Postgres, SQL Server) and Non-relational DBs
Bonus Points:
- Crypto industry experience
- Familiarity with streaming engines like Flink or KDB
